Biography and Early Years François Vigorie was born in 1953 in Gujan-Mestras, in southwest France. He grew up in a family with roots in Corrèze and studied engineering in Paris, specializing in industrial mechanics and electricity. Alongside his technical training, he developed an interest in traditional crafts such as gilding, wood restoration, and decorative framing. In the mid-1970s, while restoring a broken Art Deco mirror, Vigorie discovered his true material: glass. From that moment, glass was no longer just a surface for decoration, but a living medium capable of carrying light, space, and imagination.
